A Unique Philosophy: Knowledge And Respect
For the Cat & Dog: Royal Canin embraces the
unique philosophy that it is of vital importance to truly know and understand
dogs and cats, including their specifics needs, their environment and to respect
their existence as an animal and a family pet. Dogs and cats are living
beings, sources of exchange with their human friends and have the potential to
develop close bonds with their owners.
For the Cat & Dog Professional: Royal Canin
maintains daily interaction with dog and cat professionals, including breeders,
veterinarians and university researchers. Royal Canin supports and
develops technical services and research projects in Europe, USA and South
America. In 1996, Royal Canin published "The Practical Guide of Dog
Breeding". In 1999, "The Practical Guide of the Sports Dog"
was published in collaboration with the Veterinarian University of Alfort in
France. In 1998, Royal Canin published the most comprehensive set of cat
and dog Encyclopedias available. The company plans to publish a second practical
guide of cat breeding, a guide for rescue dogs, and two nutritional reference
guides for cats and dogs dedicated to veterinary students. (All Guides and Encyclopedias will be published
